Dark Side of the Moon.

Us and Them > Any Colour You Like > Brain Damage > Eclipse is absolutely flawless. I can't think of any other album with a stretch that long without losing a point here or there. Fucking phenomenal and the album blows my mind every time. I know I'm in the minority thinking it's their best album. Great Gig has to be one of the most underrated tracks ever.

That is shocking. I've put the 2 minute version of the track on my Space Moon list, so it'll be there, if you're checking those out. :D

My latest listens:
Fruit Bats - The Ruminant Band
Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight

Mayyyybe. OR, Or, I could just check and see if Napster has it ;).

ETA: They do not :(.

I really don't think you are in the minority on thinking that. Maybe amongst the people on this site. But DSOTM is widely regarded as one of the all-time great classic rock albums.

i'm listening to the new Yo La Tengo album. pretty good so far!

Didn't realize that this was out there! Will have to listen. I really hated Fuckbook, so I hope that this is a return to form. Is it mellow Yo La Tengo, crazy Yo La Tengo, or eclectic Yo La Tengo?

Yeah, I was always under the impression that was what most considered their best. I've always felt like I was in the minority for liking The Wall more!

Marchin' Already - Ocean Colour Scene
Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters - The Twilight Sad
Live/1975-85 [Discs 1, 2 and 3] - Bruce Springsteen

This and Oasis demos for Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and several U2 bootlegs (especially over the last 4-5 days.)

the wall's probably my least favourite of the albums i have :reject: just edging out meddle. the story takes over the music imo.

I don't know if I'd say "very mellow," after a few spins. I mean, this is no Summer Sun or The Sounds of the Sounds of Science, you know? Still, it is good. I haven't yet managed to process it, in full, but I do like it. Only time will tell if it's one of the Yo La Tengo albums I REALLY like (I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One, Fakebook, And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out) or one of the Yo La Tengo albums that I like but NEVER have any desire to listen to (I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass, Electr-O-Pura). We'll see. Thanks for the heads up. Some really great songs, on this! So much better than Fuckbook!

P.S. "Avalon or Someone Very Similar" is better than bliss. Just perfect YLT. Man. I gotta catch these guys, on that upcoming tour!

That's my opinion too about The Wall. It's a double album with 26 tracks, but not that many songs. Which is a pity, as it sounds amazing (as in sound quality).

Just finished:
Madonna - Like A Prayer

Why? - Alopecia
Okkervil River - The Stage Names
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers

The Dodos - Time To Die
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Tom Waits - Closing Time
Guided by Voices - Propeller
U2 - The Unforgettable Fire
Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman
The Police - Synchronicity
The Police - Zenyatta Mondatta
The Police - Ghost in the Machine
M83 - Before the Dawn Heals Us

Might hit up something else, but I think that's probably for the night.

Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
Ghostface Killah - Ironman
Wu-Tang Clan - Wu-Tang Forever
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

certainly does it's just crap like the trial, and a few other tracks which add to the story but provide absolutely nothing to the ear (goodbye cruel world, stop...)
