I know! I appreciate their economy of sound, since too many CDs are overstuffed, but come on! There has to be a happy medium between 30 minutes and 80 minutes.

Like I said - not The Ramones!

I tend to think a good length for an album is around 50-60 minutes, preferably closer to 50 than 60. And at least get past 40 minutes! 30 minutes is pretty much an EP now.

Though there is something to be said for not weighing the thing down with shitloads of filler just to get to a certain length.

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

OK, so it's Easter weekend, March Madness, daughter out of town, and the cable box in the living room is not fukking working. We have no cable in the living room, though I think we might have channels in the bedroom (different box). We have to wait til Monday for the cable guy to come out.

The Sound of Music is on ABC Family. Yay!

It's sad that I'll stop and watch a movie on TV when I own the DVD. But I guess I don't want to commit to a DVD tonight, so I'll watch this until I'm ready to do something else.

It still amazes me that Americans give a shit about university-level sport. But I suppose when nobody else plays your shitty sports so you lose the international level of competition, you've got to have something else to turn to.

Yes, Dalton, this post is dedicated to you.
