My brother and I both love that sort of lousy graffiti, so we were incredibly disappointed when we saw Melbourne had little, if any.

That's another thing Adelaide has over Melbourne, right there!

I sort of thought of bumping it up to 2, but I don't know. Then I might have to bump some other stuff up, and at the moment, I'm more of the opinion that my ratings are too generous and I need to bump a lot down.

Having not heard a note of VLV and not being somebody to think Achtung is a classic, I can't comment, really. Though I can't see how any album with Chris Martin's voice could top Zooropa.

Agreed.

U2 Feedback - View Single Post - Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida' vs. U2's 'TBA'?

Glad to see he hasn't changed one iota since Kunstmuseum.

No, that's what 1 and 0.5 are for. In fact, I believe I gave U2 18 a 0.5/5!

Also ... you don't want to hear what I thought of the Beach Boys songs being played when I was in JB yesterday. You just don't.

Now that you mention it, I can't think of anything particularly lousy except for a bit of crude stuff carved into Z1 tram windowsills. I once saw a "FAGZ" and a "FUK YOU". Most of it just seems to be illegible tags, though there's a small "SLAYER ROCKS" by my tram stop.

You should have heard Coldplay sing Lost!1 on the Daily Show. That's a very good song, but CMart managed to ruin it by:

1. Dancing like a douchebag
2. Having a weak voice

Wow, it surprises me how limited your options are for Internet there! I mean, I'd expect that in some far-flung parts of Australia (when I lived on the outer edge of the Gold Coast, it was dial-up, DSL, or pay ~$20,000 for cable to be installed to the suburb!). Not Ohio! Or Ohioi.

I'm not the tallest person, at 5'6-7" or so, but I hope it's enough to not totally get lost in a crowd. And when my hair gets long, it adds about an inch to my height! I was glad I at least managed to persuade Ali to come with me to the Porcupine Tree gig. And my mother, of all people, came with me to the Brisbane PT gig. I saw all three Aussie PT gigs because I'm insane like that ...
I work with pictures a lot because I am a shameless Photoshop addict. Which is why a majority of my time gets spent there. I save pictures, make stuff, etc, etc. What a hobby!
As I've never really been to concerts or seen/heard bootlegs or anything of the like, I know next to nothing about setlists and all that. All I know is what albums/songs I like best (and not the best..or even dislike to an extent.) and what I'd like to see in future tours (DVDs, basically, or if I got the chance to go, that.)

The thing is that I live in a small town outside of a larger city. The closer you get to the bigger town on the other end of us, the better your chances are for being able to access high speed internet. My friend that I previously mentioned lives across the town from me (which really isn't all that far) and he had high speed DSL for a while through the phone company. Where I am, we are out of the range for it. So it's either get dial up through any number of the phone companies or the ONLY cable company in Ohio (which imo aren't very costumer friendly anyway as we've had them before when I DID still have broadband.). I went from having AOL, to broadband through cable, back to dial up - which mind you was a very hard transition! - in the time that I've been lurking the internet. When I first joined interference, I had the broadband but I was too shy to really post and get very active. Then about 10 months ago, the cable company cut us off over a bill that wasn't even due yet so we switched and that's where we've been, ever since. So essentially, where I am, it IS dial up or pay out the arse for cable.

Hair height for the win!
There's not a lot I can do for my height other than buy a pair of creepers or something.

The same guy made all three, if the messages themselves are any indication.

Depends what songs they were. They had a lot of crap ones.

But if All I Wanna Do or I Just Wasn't Made For These Times or something like that was playing, then I... I oughta... !

This chap, if he is indeed the same person, has brought a faith of the Melbourne graffiti scene into my heart. I hope you'll be seeing your very own "PORNOE"s and "GOTH PRIDE"s any day now!

Every bit of live Coldplay I've ever seen has just reinforced to me that their delusions of being as big and legendary as U2 will never be achieved because ... they just fail on stage. If they ever pack 50,000 people into a stadium to hear their lullabyes, I will be genuinely surprised.

Chris Martin's singing voice is a studio creation. Bono actually improves in a live setting.

Keep on dreaming, Coldplay.

I like some of Coldplay's stuff but I think they are trying way too hard to be something they are not. Which is why I am not too fond of them as a band in general. They need to be their own thing and stop trying to be someone else.

I'm a total image hack! I love taking photos, but with my vision, I can't tell you what's good or not, and I'm certainly not the person you want messing with images. Setlists are much safer territory! I actually got into them before going to any gigs and before I began bootleg trading - I was just fascinated by what the band chose to play live over the years, and elevation-tour.com was an awesome way to waste study lessons at high school. I memorised so much of the site that the guy who owns it asked me to help run it and now it's the U2VT/U2gigs.com that I go on about.

Eek, that's shitty - and sounds exactly like a lot of dodgy Internet stories I've heard in Australia. I was very thankful I was within range (just!) for DSL back on the Gold Coast, because Telstra (who I call Telscum) wanted ... I think it was $22,000 to lay a cable to our suburb. We pretty much told them to get fucked and went with the DSL. If I ever went out of DSL range, I'd certainly go back to dial-up rather than deal with Telscum. The big telecommunications companies seem to be terrible. I'm with a smaller ISP who give simply stunning service and I recommend them (Internode) to anybody in Australia.

I always wish that I had straight hair, but alas, it 'froes out and I get at least an inch or two out of it when I let it grow for about three months. Helps my October-era Adam look ...

I don't really dig how old Martini unashamedly seems to admit he's ripping off other songs. Not a word about U2 here, but if I'm not mistaken he's said this of Elbow and Kraftwerk, among other artists I think. Rather blatant.
