WCF - Ducks vs Wild

Well this should be a very interesting series. Two underdog teams fighting to make it to the Stanley Cup finals. I think they are very evenly matched, but I will give the edge in goal to my man Giggy, and the Ducks will win in 6 games.

It will be one heck of a series, go Quackers!

I'm not counting on anything yet. The Wild have the momentum right now, but things can change quickly.

Unless....have you heard that fat lady sing?

Jets in 7. Do I sense a white-out... oh no, sorry... I'm just sniffing it.

Well, to be honest, it likely will be the Wild against the Ducks. Why? Game 7 is only 21 hours away. There's too little time for the Canucks to really regroup as a team. They will get up early tomorrow morning, jump on the plane with lumps in their throats and on their bodies, feeling all the bad emotions that they feel after a big loss, and get placed right back into the scene of the crime. Minnesota clearly has all the momentum and confidence that comes with it. They have the Canucks exactly where they want them. It doesn't look good. If the Canucks win game 7, they win the Stanley Cup.

A bit premature, in any case. Don't you think, Chizip?

As a Wild fan, I am used to torture. The team is only 3 years old, but they have caused me my share of pain and anguish. No unhatched chicken counting for me....especially in the play-offs.

yes, i dont know why canucks fans would be mad at me. i obviously jinxed the wild by posting this thread, so there is no way they can win now. canucks fans should be singing my praises right now, as i guarenteed their team victory.

Well, Angel, I posted that *right* after the game. I see you posted this morning. Slight difference. I was feeling pretty damn low last night (as I'm sure you were), and I was simply telling it like it is from that perspective. The Canucks had their butts handed to them for the 2nd straight game. They totally unravelled as a team for th 2nd straight game. I was reacting accordingly.

Now, the sun is shining and it's a new day and, like you, I also think they have a solid chance of recovering. I remember during the Blues series no one else believed the Canucks were going to come back after being down 3-1 (including you and Bear -- I have the quotes to prove it ), but I said they would, and they did. This time, I think it's a toss up. Anything can happen in a game 7. I think we'll see the Canucks leave everything on the ice tonight, win, lose, or...well there won't be a draw, but you get the idea.

Vancouver is a shattered team right now, and that's my only concern. When they're playing with confidence, they're pretty much the best team in the NHL -- just ask Chizip about game 7 against the Blues What the Canucks have to do tonight is forget about last game and the game before and just play *their* game. Play with some passion. That's all I ask. Play smart, also. If they do both those things, I think they'll win tonight.
