Pee Wee's Big Adventure is now more than 20 years old....

Let me repeat that: 20 YEARS OLD

I remember seeing that for my birthday in the movie theaters.

I saw him once when I was in Nantucket, he was in a t-shirt store and he signed an autograph for the cashier. I didn't even realize it was him until the guy showed me the autograph, I was so busy shopping I didn't even notice. It was sort of funny when I realized it was right across the street from a movie theater

So that was my brush with Pee Wee greatness

Back then, when watching that movie I thought I was witnessing cinematic genius. Me and my friends would roll on the floor laughing our heads off.

When I saw the movie recently again on cable, I remember thinking "Man, this movie is pure crap". I bet 20 yrs from now, some of the kiddies will be thinking the same about Napoleon Dynamite......

Of course those who still think Pee Wee is a great movie......hats off to you

Too many great scenes to talk about but one of the finest is the bar dance to "Tequila..."

I still remember grabbing my (now) wife's shoulder when "Large Marge" did her scary face. My wife screamed and I laughed that much harder.

I still love this movie. I actually put the DVD in my husband's stocking for Christmas. Maybe I seem immature to some, but I still think it's a riot!

I still remember clearly the first time that I watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Thought his red bike was so cool! Loved the part too where he gave Francis and his father that gum and it was the trick kind. And when he rescued all of those pets from the pet store and passed out when he took out the snakes Oh and I used to watch his show on tv too.

Loved his meeting to create a search for his bike. He started getting all crazy standing up front of everyone. That laugh he did was rather creepy though lol.
