What are good 'wake-up/morning' songs? Upbeat stuff that'll wake me up and get the day going (so not a morning person). So far, I have:

Zwan - Honestly
Zwan - Lyric
U2- Beautiful Day
Foo Fighters - Times like These
Chantal Kreviazuk - Time

good post!!
"Welcome to the working week" Elvis Costello always does it for me...
"This is Radio Clash" by the Clash does it too...that'll wake you up. :)

"Island in the Sun" Weezer
"Hallelujah Here She Comes" and "Beautiful Dy" U2 :)
"Song 2" Blur
"Seven Nation Army" the White Stripes
"Born to Run" Bruce Springsteen
"Once in a Lifetime" Talking Heads

the boo radleys - wake up boo!

(then again, i haven't read the lyrics properly, perhaps they're being ironic, but it's very summery, very upbeat)

I LOVE this song! FYI-The lyric is not ironic, it's quite inspirational.

In high school, I used to always wake up to "Spoonman" by Soundgarden. Not by choice, mind you - the alarm clock always turned on then, and the station was always playing it at 6:45am.

Not really an upbeat song, but my classical song to wake up with (especially after a ~beautiful~ night) is "Here Comes The Sun", Beatles.

Anything rocking enough to knock my socks off proverbially.

a bit ago, my radio woke me up to starsailor's 'goodsouls'...it really did make the day brighter. :)

Doves' Pounding is another good one to get you going...

I would second that! Hallelujah is such a great little ditty.

If I really need to wake up, it's all about the rap music. A little Bubba Sparxxx or Snoop Dogg to get the head bobbin'.

Great choices everyone!

How could I forget:

A Sort of Homecoming

(I had that in my cd player waking me up for at least 3 months last year. By the end my roommate nearly killed me..no appreciation for good music).
