'Lord Of The Rings' Star Enlists GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist To Play On His Album - Nov. 9, 2003

"Lord of the Rings" star Viggo Mortensen has recruited GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Buckethead as well as co-stars Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd as guest musicians on his upcoming musical album.

The CD, titled "PandemoniumFromAmerica", is scheduled to be released later this month.

Wood recently spoke of his participation in a musical jam session with Mortensen and Buckethead during the recording sessions for the upcoming album of experimental rock.

"The guy is a genius, and I was like, 'Oh my God, this is my chance,' " Wood said of his opportunity to play piano, percussion and even sing alongside Buckethead, the enigmatic performer who wears the equivalent of a K.F.C. (Kentucky Fried Chicken) bucket on his head while playing.

"I got to jam for about four hours!" Wood continued. "It was really fantastic to be able to contribute, and I'm actually going to be on the album!"

This ought to be interesting I would check it out

 I always wondered about Steve's album. What's it like? Singer-songwriter-y?

Viggo.. can't imagine what kind of singing voice he has, but it'll be interesting to hear.

I didn't know Viggo sang. :hmm:

I know at least one, if not more of his other albums were experimental jazz, so I assumed they were non vocal...will this one by the same?

Can Elijah Wood sing? That's the one I am  about...
