Correct.

By the way, if you could have warped time somehow so that your game was held during the period 1841-1863, you would have been right as Auckland was the capital then. Russell 1840-41, Auckland 1841-63, and Wellington ever since.

Russell's some tiny little town up at the very top of the North Island. Probably about three people and a cat live there. It was just where the British happened to establish their first base.

"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Yeah, it's now None Tree Hill, though the big plinth and stuff is still there.

Some turkey thought chopping it down would make a point about Maori land rights or something. He did a shitty job and the council managed to keep the tree alive for a few years before having to destroy it as it became beyond saving. Now nobody seems to be able to agree on what kind of tree to plant to replace it ...

AXVER!! retireve the purity test, if youd be so kind.
Well, I'm definitely a Skip, complete with a pommie parent - hence my love of knocking all things British (while secretly wishing I was back there living permanently or something... except for the total lack of sun)... Did I mention my tendancy to get sidetracked really easily?
Yeah, as Jen has pointed out I adore me a good Brit comedy. I even posted Bernard (aka Black Books) in the Crush thread. No one noticed. And the IT Crowd is on my favourites list. And of course The Young Ones.

What was the question again?

And this test.... youse won't see my answers will you? I'm ashamed just reading through them.

I went to a John Farnham concert instead of ours. And it was my 18th birthday, too.

I don't regret it!

Yeah, fuck education, healthcare, infrastructure, full employment, and taking care of the less fortunate and socially marginalised. Let's get Howard, Kennett, and his cronies back in power so that a few wealthy elite can get richer and delude the increasingly poorer underclass that their position isn't as bad as it really is.
