Well tie that in with your comment about how you like more studio than live and it all makes perfect sense.

You listen to that tune live. Absolute gold.

Ah okay. Yeah usually the verses of In The Air Tonight bore me so much that I change the radio station almost immediately. I guess I never got to that drum solo.

Jesus, I just realized something. We've all been had by Axver's psycho-sociological experiment. He hasn't even posted in this damn thread, and all we're proving is that our unpopular opinions aren't really all that odd after all.

We really are ONE.

Did you know that you can play GTA IV LIVE? Did you know that?!!!?

I think I'd be offended watching you constantly commit virtual hate crimes.

-I......sort of like She Will Be Loved

Maybe that should be in a thread called "Horrifying musical revelations"

I actually own that album. It's enjoyable enough. I would never listen to it all the way through these days, but it seemed quite good when it first came out.

- the 70s sucked musically except for Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys and Frank Zappa
- nothing innovative has been released since Aphex Twin's first album
- Jon Spencer Blues Explosion should have been 100x as big as the White Stripes
- De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig is the most interesting rap act at the moment, Mystery repeats is the single of the year and Anouk's If I go being the best rock song

I think the title and point of this thread has completely gone over the heads of a number of you.

I'll throw out some unpopular things, at least around here:

I don't care for Wilco.

David Bowie is overrated.

Believe it or not, arena rock groups from the late 70's/early 80's (Journey, Foreigner, Styx, etc.) did have a few good songs.

Progressive Rock is a beautiful musical genre.

Latter day Yes is just as good as classic Yes.

The 80's did have good music.

I'm sure I could come up with more - that's off the top of my head.
