Weather question: is it really humid in Australia and New Zealand or just really hot?

Sounds like my place half the time. Including right now. Bleh. If I'd come home earlier, I could've done shopping on the way home, but nooo.

New Zealand? Hot?

As for Australia, Melbourne has a quite dry heat, but when you get further north, i.e. into Queensland, the humidity will suffocate you.

I was in Greensborough this afternoon and it was far too fucking warm! Good god, there was plenty of heat in that afternoon sun. I was dripping with sweat.

Well for NZ it depends on what parts you live in. Some are humid, some are just hot. And all get cold in the winter

Apart from people in Central Otago, I don't think most New Zealanders know what hot is. I remember considering 25C hot, summery weather on the Kapiti Coast!
