It's nice and all, but I'm not a fan of little kids singing that well.

I can't explain it and I know it's an incredibly weird thing to say, but I immediately start thinking of stage mothers and how that poor kid will never get to be a kid and that those shows should be for adults who never got to pursue their musical dreams and behold! now they're no longer salesmen, but opera singers.

Like Paul Potts, the guy who won. He bowled me over, and I love the expressions on the judges faces when he starts singing:

She went waaaay off key on the second "somewhere" But hey, she's just 6. And she's cute and seems to be a sweet, unassuming little kid for the most part.

I don't even like opera, although I appreciate it, but Nessun Dorma reduces me to tears every damn time. He was amazing.
