Trace Adkins- Honky Tonk Badonkadonk

While flipping around the tv today I found CMT.

This thing was playing.

My left ear actually began to shoot blood across the room into the kitchen.

The cat was stopped in it's tracks and started to vomit and defecate, then it died.

Chelsea actually jumped up and ran through a plate glass door and off the porch, landing 3 stories below. She's in the hospital now.

The phone started rinnging, it was 911 calling me, saying help was on the way.

Who buys this shit? New country is worthless.

Luckily Dwight Yoakam was played after this assult on humanity, and I was treated to a good country song.

"always pain before the child is born", indeed.

Anyone a Dwight Yoakam fan? reccomend me some good stuff.

What about Shooter Jennings? Is he good?

To me, its all good, (I do prefer his early stuff though) but I guess I would recommend:

Albums

Just Lookin for a Hit
Buenos Noches From a Lonely Room
If There Was a Way
Dwight Live
Gone
Last Chance for a 1000 Years (greatest hits)

Songs

Suspicious Minds
The Heart That You Own
Thousand Miles From Nowhere
Turn It On, Turn It Up
Sorry You Asked
Little Sister
Long White Cadillac
Little Ways
Please Please Baby
Aint That Lonely Yet
Fast As You
I Don't Need it Done
Honky Tonk Man
Guitars, Cadillacs

He puts on a kick ass live show too...no between song banter or bullshit, just 2 solid hours of music

Dwight Yoakam is kinda pathetic - but then again I don't dig a lot of country music and can only tolerate it for a short time

Dwight Yoakam is a badass. Check out his This Time album. Or If There Was A Way, which has "It Only Hurts Me When I Cry," which has some cool old school pedal steel.
