Got to our hotel at 8:30 am after our overnight flight to CDG, able to check in despite early hour. Showered and decided to get some breakfast before we checked out the Tour route. Our taxi driver had said we would be able to see the Tour at 11 am. Stupid tourons!! Of course, this was only the time that they started to set up along the Rue de Rivoli, Place de la Concorde and Champs Elysee uh:. We walked around a bit, the temp was already in the low 90s. Seats and tents set up along the course with some shade, but we needed our sunscreen. So back to the hotel. Serious jet lag setting in. Check back to the route at 1. More and more people, more and more cycling fans. I do not believe this sport will die, despite controversy. It is dramatic.

We checked local TV and soon decided that the riders would not be near until around 4:30. The crowds were too much for cranky arrivals like me and my husband, and we were also nervous about getting a cafe seat after the race, so we went around the corner to a nice cafe on Rue de Castiglione (cafe Castiglione) and grabbed an outside table with reflection view of the race from the inside TV.

We ate fresh tomato and mozzarella salad with roasted goat cheese and glorious batard (french bread) with Coke Light. As the riders would pass by a couple of blocks in, we would hear the crowd cheer.

So, despite our fortune to arrive in Paris for the final day... we were not hearty enough to last six hours baking in the sun. I think I'd only do that for Bono and the boys... !

Viva la France!

Tests show that some of the testosterone in Floyd Landis' system at the Tour de France was synthetic and not naturally produced by his body as he claimed, according to a newspaper report.
It's getting worse. I'm expecting the DQ this weekend.

I was curious how he planned to prove that he naturally has higher testosterone levels. I would imagine that every test he has ever done or will continue to to do should have higher than average testosterone levels. If not, he is full of crap.

Don't some thyroid medications contain synthetic testosterone?

Since the test proved testosterone was syntetic (not naturally produced), there goes the "I have more testosterone in my blood than most people" theory.

Philly Fan Booing Service Offer!

We offered boos for U2.com, and now we're doing it for Floyd Landis! This is a lot more convenient since we're close to Lancaster too! Call 1-800-BOOTHIS to have at least 10 Philly fans boo Floyd Landis. We take mailed checks!

Even if the B sample is positive this weekend (and it most likely will be), they won't do anything to Landis until he's had a chance to defend himself through the current process. However, it's looking more and more likely that he will lose.

I wonder what, if any, excuse he could come up with for the panel. His initial reason given has already been discredited by the presence of the synthetic testosterone.

Probably could've found a better picture since that booing didn't do much the iggles that day

The B sample is positive too, Pereiro is the winner of the Tour de France.
Congratulations.
