Top Five Films Please

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
LOST IN TRANSLATION - im not afraid to admit a weep like a babe everytime I see this - the sign Roy of a true man ;-) lol

THE INSIDER - to be honest 70% of Pacinos work could take this spot although everything about this particular film is incredible, from the soundtrack to the cinematography, amazing.

JAWS - simply because no matter how many times I see it it still entertains me more than any other film, and Roy Schnieder should of been a much bigger star than he was, definately one of the best actors of the 70s.

APOCOLYPSE NOW - Just artistically stunning

BADLANDS - Poetic and sparse, Terence Malick should helm On The Road if they HAVE to make it (but please leave it alone!!!!!!!)

Special Mentions:
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Amore Perres
Toy Story 2
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
Requiem for a Dream
The Man Who Wasnt There
Edward Scissorhands
amongst many!!!

Papillion
Apocalypse Now
Back to the Future Trilogy
The Time Machine (ORIGINAL!)
Die Hard Trilogy

edit: ..........and The Shawshank Redemption, and The Usual Suspects.

Top 5 Films

ALMOST FAMOUS
DOGMA
HEAT
ANCHORMAN (i love lamp)
OFFICE SPACE

Honorable Mention

THE FIFTH ELEMENT
SINGLES
GROSS POINTE BLANK
THE BIG LEBOWSKI
MIDNIGHT RUN

My favourite animated films, not including Fritz the Cat as I'm not so much impressed with the animation as I am the style, comic and giganticism of it all. This is just kids stuff, to an extent anyway. Again, not really an all time favourite thing, just currently.

The Lion King
Grave of the Fireflies
Porco Rosso
Russian Rhapsody (it may be only seven minutes long, but it's still as disturbing and interesting as any cartoon should be)
Beauty and the Beast/Alice in Wonderland

I never really liked CGi and although I worked in a claymation studio for a little while, that still doesn't appeal to me much either. It's all about the cels.

I hate doing this! ( i love it to) its impossible....

To kill a mocking bird (perfect)
Its a wonderfull life (anything with jimmy stewart)
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (JIm&Kate spot-on!)

Ask me again in five minutes and it could all change.....
