A traditional sounding song would be out of place on the album. They're not trying to write huge singles that turn a profit, they just wanted to do what they felt was right for the album.

But I agree with Blah and Blah too.

EXACTLY! I mean Blah! is just amazing! The lyrics are beyond deep, I'm sure Bono is wishes he would have written "Bleh" I mean :

"Bleh to the world
Blah
Blargh
Bl-
ah"

Come on now, PURE GENIUS! Blah! is filled with touching moving lyrics, the music may seem a a bit out of place, but it fits over all. You can really feel the song... the lyrics just hit you so hard!

In conclusion Bleh! is an amazing underrated album!! GET IT TODAY!

I made a list of 25 candidates and noticed three things.
1.) There sure were a lot of brilliant albums released between 1991-1996.
2.) There sure was a lot of crap released between 1997-2000.
Twenty-two of my 25 candidates came from 1991-1996.
and
3.) Certain artists released multiple great albums in the 90's making it almost impossible to pare down my list to five:
U2-three great albums
Radiohead- two
Pearl Jam- two
Nirvana- two
Bjork- three
Neil Young- two
R.E.M.- two

Anyhoo
1.) U2- Achtung Baby
2.) REM- Automatic for the People
3.) Nirvana- Nevermind
4.) Bjork- Post
5.) Radiohead- Ok Computer
Honorable mentions:
Zooropa, Bjork-debut, Nirvana Unplugged, Neil Young-Ragged Glory, My Bloody Valentine-Loveless...etc, etc.

No particular order:

U2 - Achtung Baby
Alice in Chains - Dirt
Metallica - Black album
Radiohead - OK Computer
Counting Crows - August and Everything After

Never been a fan of Nirvana, and truthfully I think that Nevermind is overrated, even with the fact it was revolutionary at the time.

5? No way. 10? Not even possible. 20 maybe? Perhaps, but a long list would be boring.

In no particular order except the first one:

1.) U2 "Achtung Baby" - of course
2.) Primal Scream "Screamadelica"
3.) Massive Attack "Mezzanine"
4.) My Bloody Valentine "Loveless"
5.) The Chemical Brothers "Dig Your Own Hole"
6.) Morphine "Cure For Pain"
7.) NIN "broken" (only because Pretty Hate Machine came out in 1989)
8.) Bjork "Homogenic"
9.) U2 "Zooropa"
10.) Spiritualized "Lazerguided Melodies"
11.) Nirvana "Nevermind"
12.) Radiohead "OK Computer"

and there's more but my brain hurts. Of course these probably aren't the best, but they are my favorites.
