Top 20 artists of the last 25 years

Outside of U2, name the top 20 artists of the last 25 years since 1980 or so....I would like to know if this forum is more for 80s artists, 90s artists or 2000s artists......Plus I want to see what everybodies taste in "modern" music is.

My Mexican heritage (or at least yesterday's Taco Bell lunch) forces me to spell it Baja.
Excuse me now, I've got to go let the dogs back in.

few people mentioned THE CURE...... I'm shocked!!!!

Robert Smith is such an important artist of the last 25 years, especially in the 80's..... their music has the best melodies a musician can ever think of......
