Great to see THE POLICE at #7, The Clash at #14, and STING at #18!

Sting,

I have been studying up on my phobias.

Triskaidekaphobia- Fear of the number 13.

The Clash are No. 13 on the list, not No. 14.

Interesting list, Coldplay should not come before the Clash, though.

ack, I cant stand Queen

still Virgin radio, is Chris Evans still a dj there? *shudders*
or didnt he end up owning it?

:slant: OMD I'm not kidding -- I *stared* at the #1 and wondered why it wasn't Madonna....

She's not British

Seriously.

Also, can't believe Coldplay (and T-Rex? Never heard of him/them) is above Elton John. I love Coldplay a lot and all, but....ELTON JOHN!!

Weird how most of the good music of the world is British...

Oasis above the Stones? :eyebrow:

Deep,

oops thanks for telling me. I was about to look that word up.

deciding by votes is an outdated way to rank music

democracy is of fools, by fools and for fools.

Contrary to popular belief, Radiohead (while awesome and wonderful) is not the end all and be all. Thank you. :|

Anyways, Queen at Number #1? Um...ok, sure. :uhoh:

It is weird how most of the best music is British.

wrong.

theyre the best band on the planet now, by a long shot, surely that counts for something.

but whatever, its a list, not a big deal.

Any list that has the Beatles getting beaten for a change is worthwile in my book. :)

will always be subjective bear

you're right about these type of opinion compilations..mostly a little bit of fun..and shouldn't be taken so seriously..this UK poll in particular caught the attention of some American Duran Duran fans who spread the word and poured in every vote they could get away with..of course it will back-fire and..um #46..

..would have been great to have seen them maintain #1 for more than a few days :D

Oasis number 3 and Beatles not number 1?!?

So much for releveance of this list.

Aren't Led Zeppelin Americans?

...Page became one of the hottest session guitarists in the U.K., turning down an offer to join the Yardbirds after Clapton left. Of course, he later joined the Yardbirds in 1966 in a brief guitar super-group with Jeff Beck and taking over the lead guitar spot until the group's demise in 1968. The formation of Led Zeppelin in the summer of 1968 would bring unparalleled success. Through Zep, Page could unleash his playing and songwriting in a variety of styles: blues, folk, Indian etc., but the magic of Led Zeppelin created an unimaginable chemistry of its own

:sexywink:

where the hell is underworld or massive attack? this list is a big fat hairy loser... but then did i really expect something else?. . . ptooie. . .
