New album pretty soon, think!

Ocean Rain (the song) is just so beautiful. I think that build-up at the end is as good as any classic U2 build-up!

That song is hauntingly beautiful. And, holy Bono intonation! One listen, and it's clear as day that he's been drawing heavily from that band for years...I've only heard two Echo albums, but they impressed me immediately.

I drove with my family to Bonavista the other day and had Ocean Rain on the CD player. My mother: "I've never heard THIS U2 album before!"

Which Bunnymen albums do you have? And do you want more? :sexywink:

Over The Wall is so brilliant! If I were to make a list of my favourite Echo and the Bunnymen songs, it would probably be in the top ten. There's a great live video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06TIDkqd380

I love live Bunnymen videos. Ian McCulloch's iconic shadow leering above the croud...

Oh, er...click herehttp://www.flickerandfade.org/echo.html. :shifty:

I have to say, I'm surprised only two people(including myself) have listed Metallica here. The 80s were the heydey of 'Old-School' Metallica. 'Ride The Lightning', 'Master Of Puppets', and '...And Justice For All' are nearly universally accepted as some of the absolute best metal recordings ever.

 it better be :grumpy:

i just now realised i forgot to add inxs to my list. oh well. if i keep editing this list every time i'm like "oh i forgot..." i'd be doing this all day.

 I do that with these lists, as well! Sometimes I think about them at work, when I should be thinking about work.

On Duran Duran's website, John says he's been reading a lot of books and relaxing with friends...I think the album's very close now.

I didn't even realize they were touring in the fall! That should be an awesome show, especially with the original lineup. I saw them when I was a kid, but I barely remember it :(

What I'm saying, is that you have to fly me down to this concert.
