My mom knows me too well.

Before she said anything, I was thinking about how I could attend the Boston shows in May if I bought tickets on ebay or possibily plan a trip to Dublin in July/August.

It kills me that I can't spend that money though.
Maybe your Dad will want to give you another $1000 to play with

The thought of that alone is so

Hypothetical situation #1: Boston concert on May 26th as a "graduation present" for my sister. (She's graduating from high school 2 days before the concert.)

2 GAs on ebay: about $380

Price: exactly $900 for a roundtrip flight and hotel stay from May 25 - May 27.

I wonder if I could convince my parents into allowing us to do this.

If you get tickets for May 26th, you'll be my bestest friend, even though you have no idea who I am

Hypothetical situation #2 (Dublin trip) would be far more expensive than the Boston trip.

I need to stop obsessing over what I could be doing with the money and get to work on a term paper for my lame plant biology class.

Ask them...really

If the gift option is in the same price range you could make a really argument for the U2 trip. Something she really wants as opposed to something else that she doesn't

neither did i. i forgot they went on sale this morning, despite waking up several times yesterday morning thinking i overslept and missed when they went on sale. i checked about 15 min ago, and there was another date added, and ticketmaster didn't want to give me tickets for that one either.

Guess that's the ticket god's way of saying, "Haven't you bought enough this year, missy?"
