Ok that's just EXTREMELY poor taste to discuss your sex life with a magazine :tsk: There are some things that are meant to be private and that's certainly one of them! What is it with this guy? And why would a girl who is supposed to be so smart be with someone like this? :shrug:

As for MI:3 I won't watch it not just because of Tom Cruise but also because I never cared for the other ones.
 
I will see MI3, I am a fan of those movies and was a Tom fan pre-lunatic days. I still enjoy his movies even though I can't feel the same way about him anymore. JJ Abrams is the director so I have high hopes for it. And Philip Seymour Hoffman plays the villain :drool:

2 things:

I read that portions of the gross of MI:3 will go to fund Scientology.

also, my personal favorite, in some article Katie Holmes said something like "when I was a little girl I dreamed of marrying Tom Cruise, now look what's happening"

Isn't this the equivalent to Ashton and Demi? Except instead of insanely hot actress it's insane actor? :shrug:

Where did you read that? Of course he can give some of his salary, and he's probably a producer as he is on all of his movies. But I can't believe any movie studio would agree to that. Who can separate fact from fiction in the bizarro world of Tom Cruise? He's a U2 fan too, I seem to remember a few years back Bono made a remark about Tom possibly taking over some of his charity duties, I guess he picked Brad Pitt instead :wink:

I don't recall where I read it, it was some online news site (not The Onion)

but Tom Cruise had that "percentage of the gross of the film will by mine" deal, and the money from that will go the Scientology. I don't think it counts his normal acting salary.

Ok, I see-I know he has that deal, many of the major actors do. Well if that money is his, salary or not, I guess it's his prerogative to do what he wishes with it.

Does anyone remember when John Travolta made that Scientology movie, I think it was called Battlefield Earth or something like that.

well.. when was Tom on Oprah? They had been dating all of what, 6 weeks? And shortly after that she was pregnant. Maybe Scientology babies take longer to incubate :lmao:

What leaves a bad taste in my mouth is that i dont like how quickly Katie became a scientologist and how she spends 6-8 hours a day at the centre, learning and reading and blaah blahh...like freaking hell, how much is their to learn?!!

And she's gotta be having twins...no baby can be that big!!! hahahaha
 
Tom Cruise is wierd. He's great actor but why does he have to overshadow his movies by doing these publicity antics.

Cruise 'will eat baby's placenta'
Actor Tom Cruise has said he plans to eat the placenta of his new baby.

"I thought that would be good," he told GQ magazine. "Very nutritious. I'm gonna eat the cord and the placenta right there."

It is the latest in a series of unusual revelations by the 43-year-old about the child he is expecting with his fiancee, actress Katie Holmes.

The couple, who have been engaged since June 2005, plan to marry in late summer or early autumn, according to Cruise.

The Mission Impossible star has also claimed he knew Holmes, 27, was pregnant even before she told him.

Last week Cruise said on US television that Catholic-born Holmes has already joined him as a follower of the Church of Scientology.

'Silent birth'

In the GQ interview, Cruise defended the religion's doctrine that childbirth should be completed in silence.

"It's really about respecting the woman," he said. "It's not about her not screaming."

Cruise said earlier this month that their baby was due "any day now".

The baby will be the first for Holmes, while Cruise has two adopted children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman.

well, obviously i don't know, but it has been a rumor for years and years and years, and sadly, most of the rumor has been founded upon stereotypes.

but, my undestanding, is that he is gay, but deeply closeted, and that he was initially attracted to Scientology to help "cure" him of it -- let's not forget, he was originally going to be a priest.

he also gets accused, very frequently, of having affairs with various gay porn stars, and then turns around and slaps them with $100m lawsuits, which is understandable, since if he were to be outed it might to much to lessen his credibility in a heterosexual romantic comedy or as an action star (silly as that is).

i have also heard rumors, adn these are to be noted as rumors, but that he has assistants who will troll through clubs and bars looking for guys who would look good to Tom, and then getting them to come back to his house or hotel for sex. also, and this is a friend of a friend, but had heard that one of the reasons that his first wife, Mimi Rogers, left him was because she was "tired of all the lies" or something to that effect -- that he was a rather typical guy on "the down-low" who lived a double life.

none of this is at all out-of-the ordinary for a weathy man who must maintain an appearance of heterosexuality while being secretly homosexual.

more Rumors:

his children are adopted (though the rumor was that Nicole didn't want to be pregnant, but the fact remains that he didn't sire them)

he was very uncomfortable with the graphic sex scenes in "Eyes Wide Shut."

i think "Eyes Wide Shut" is a fascinating movie, and there's more than one example of Cruise's character being hinted at as gay, he gets hit on by the hotel clerk, a group of drunk guys pushes him and calls him faggot -- yes, this is art, but the filming of the movie was so long, such an ordeal, and he and Nicole supposedly bonded to such an extent with Kubrick, that it seems to me as if the movie is actually about "Tom and Nicole" -- but that's all theory

finally, he seems so incredibly uncomfortable talking about his "love" for any of his women, especially Katie -- they both fall back on meaningless cliches, as if they're writing a late-80s power ballad by Firehouse ("i've finally found the love of a lifetime / a love to last my whole life through").



so do we know know that he's gay?

no. and, ultimately, you have to take people at their word.

do i personally suspect he's gay?

yes.



oh, and my favorite rumor was Tom Cruise + Rob Thomas.
