To all you torrenters out there

Isn't Azureus fantastic?

If you prefer another client, I'd like to know.

I looked it up, seems like a good program. I might download it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I don't know what it is about it. When I was downloading the Family Guy movie, my BitTorrent client was running at 1 or, if i was lucky, 2 kbs. I downloaded and ran Azureus and the speed was scary fast.

Let's just put it this way: With BitTorrent, I'd be fortunate to top out at around 60 kbs. With Azureus, I just downloaded Plans by Death Cab in about five minutes. I average probably 150 kbs on Azureus, topping out around 215 every so often.

I use TorrentStorm, I had Azureus on my laptop but I like TS better. It's just what I'm used to I guess.

What Neutral said. TorrentStorm has such a simple interface... my #1 preferred client.

Well the original site's shut down but you can find a downloadable version somewhere in the net. I believe the last version's 1.3 .

I've used Azureus before and I must say I don't really like it all that much, but it's light years better than the official BitTorrent client. Personally, I love BitTornado - never once had a problem with it, it lets me make all the adjustments I want to make, and displays all the data I want to know.

I started with BitLord, and have never checked out the others. What makes Azureus so good?

My download speeds have been frighteningly fast with it. Plus I like being able to make some files higher priority than others.
