Oh, and Ax, you should've come along to the concert today, it was pretty decent: Adelaide band called Lowrider, really interesting blend of musical styles. I couldn't really pin them down into any category; maybe funk-rock-hip-hop-R'n'B-blues might sort of work.

I actually bought their CD; first time I've done so.

On cue!

The website for my local cinemas is pretty good, once you click on the link that you think isn't what you want but really is.

I'm not THAT fond of it.

Henson Park and very nearby surrounds for the win.

Yeah, that's pretty crap too. And it's only the one screen...

"ZOMG really!?" *converted*

Aforementioned stepbrother came in and asked me if I'd studied any theology. He then had other questions about what I thought of Jesus and what my religion is, and was fairly stunned when I told him I'm an atheist ... and have read the New Testament nine times.

He very quickly realised he was out of his depth when I not only knew every line of argument he used, but knew the argument's actual name (Pascal's wager, for example) or could even draw on Hebrew scholarship (the "born of a virgin/young girl" matter). It was an interesting time.

(I self-identified as atheist over agnostic for two reasons: 1. feeling bold, and 2. the safe assumption he wouldn't differentiate between agnosticism and atheism anyway.)

Despite what you think....locations is the one you should instantly select.

But it's actually pretty good once you're used to that little trick

That reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Bart meets that revival preacher and states how his plan is to live a life of sin and then convert on his deathbed.

I've always been sooooo tempted to do that, just to see what would happen.

You know what's sad? I've been to Sydney five times in the last five years, and seen fuck-all of it.

09/03: drove through it to get to Melbourne. Clearest memory is spotting the "American High School". Quite possibly the first time I ever made a derogatory remark about Americans being inward-looking people who can't hack the outside world.

05/05: Passed through airport on way to America.

07/05: Passed through airport on way home from America.

11/06: U2 gigs. Pretty much only saw the airport, Central Station and my hotel by it, and Telstra Stadium.

04/08: PT gig. Saw airport and two streets of Newtown (seriously, that was it: King and Enmore Streets).

Do people tend to assume that to read the Bible is to believe it/be converted? How curious.
