those embarrassed-to-admit-it shows....

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I'm so cheap, I don't have any real embarrassing shows...

I guess being cheap does have some benefits.... :)

i haven't been to many big concerts, I'm not terribly embarrassed to say I've been to see Aerosmith, but that'd be the closest. Let it be known however, that just because a band's music is mediocre means their live show sucks... it just means it can be kinda unfulfilling

I think it just means that you are embarrassed to have given your money to THOSE PEOPLE (whoever they are in your case).

i don't really think i have a terribly embarassing show... either that or the bands are canadian and not many people know who they are...

I can top everyone's most embarrassing concert - but in all fairness I was 6 and went with my parents so it wasn't really by chocie. That being said.....

Air supply - Memphis/Mud Island

shame :reject:

I may even be able to top THAT nurse chrissi. My cousin, who was 11 at the time, REALLY wanted to go to this concert, but my aunt refused to take her. My uncle said he would buy the tickets if I went with her, so I said, "Yes, I will take her to Backstreet Boys." :reject: :reject: :reject: I just didn't want her to miss her favourite band just because no one would go with her. I put myself in her place and thought 'What if it was U2?' I don't regret it though - she was SO happy! I was really hoping that U2 would come here, so that I could bring her and then she'd see a REAL show!

Wait! Does this count? I didn't actually spend money to see them!

I saw Phil Collins about 10 years ago. I dont think it is embarrasssing as he's a phenomenal performer live.
I also saw Paul McCartney around the same time. I had to escort my mother and told no one at school because back then it was too hard to explain.
I also saw Michael Jackson. I make no apologies for this one either. All shit about the man aside, he is a very rare talent.

and I've also seen Ratcat, Bryan Adams, Bloodhound Gang, the Screaming Jets, the angels, the radiators, jimmy barnes/cold chisel, baby animals, jenny morris...the list is long
:reject:

a friend once dragged me to see The Juliana Theory. Something Corporate and Vendetta Red were the two opening acts. if there is a hell, it is a never-ending emo show with skanky 14-year-old emo girls.

a different friend loves Dave Matthews, so I got her tickets for her birthday a few years ago. she "thanked" me by taking me with her. ick.

i'm an embarrassment to my crew

Where do I start?

- Justin Timberlake
- Dido
- Sugababes
- Daniel Bedingfield
- Busted
- Kylie Minogue
- Anastacia
- Bow Wow
- Westlife

etc. Haven't paid for any of them though. Part of the job to go and see them... :(

i've never seen a shitty band that i actually wanted to see. you could argue that seeing the barenaked ladies on 3 seperate tours, or andrew wk 3 times in the same year is questionable. i wouldn't miss a bnl tour for my own funeral. and awk is fun.

i did see simple plan at the warped tour, but that was a miscalculation. i thought it was the end of their set when i decided to fight through the emo kids to get to the front of the baracade for the dropkick murphys' set...it was only 1 or 2 songs into their set, and i witnessed the whole disgusting thing, including the worst part: the cover of bad religion's "american jesus" where all the kids in the crowd stopped singing, and the idiot singer from the band tried to stage dive. he didn't jump far enough and the security guys had to catch him.

i did pay 20 bucks to see agent orange and the clowns posing as the current misfits (plus 3 or 4 crappy local bands), that was pretty bad. but i had a good time kicking the crap out of kids in the pit....

This might just win.. so let's see.

A couple years ago when I had more mad money to my name, I saw Creed. I've never been a fan, and I guess I was drinking too much at the time. No idea.

Anyway, we walked out during the third song.

On our way out of the venue, we are accosted by someone from a local church asking us, "if you die on the way home, are you sure you'd go to heaven tonight?"

Lovely!

So I told her I didn't believe what she believed and asked her if she was sure she'd go to heaven too.

She said, "of course."

So I said, "you worry about your soul and your actions, and I'll worry about mine."

Alright you win Hello Angel! You should have drank a lot to forget the whole thing. Creed fans are gonna make some therapist a lot of money someday.

New kids on the block comes a close second!

My very first concert, Boston with the Sammy Hagar Band as the opening act.

beat this, i have seen the holy trinity of suckass rap metal:

- limp bizkit
- kid rock
- the one and only vanilla ice (after he went "metal")
