I made my Ma a mix CD and gave it to her on Superbowl Sunday. She wrote me today with this:

I keep meaning to ask you, "What made you put YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE on the CD you made for us?? It brings me back to when I was about 3 or 4 yrs. old, one of the oldest memories I have.? I was living on Linden Ave. in Pelham and that was the song I use to sing (1950 or so).? My parents use to show me off and have me sing it for the neighbors, who (correctly) thought I was adorable.? Scott, it just makes my heart jump every time I hear it, thanks!? I have taken possession of the CD and play it all the time at work.? Love you, Mom

I tell ya, my old Ma was born to rock, she's still trying to beat the clock...and she will.
