Only for the people who have to be easily amused.

My list is poppier than either of yours put together after being run through an electronic sugaring machine.

Kinda like how I didn't subtract a ton of points for your Spice Girls song?

So you've listened to mine then?

Don't try to talk your way out of this one. Khan just described your reviewing methods to a T.

No, not yet. Just joking around.

Yeah. Vote on the experience and how enjoyable it was for you. I know not everyone will like so and so. That's why you have to look at how they were used and if it was effective. Don't vote based on how many songs a person has that you hate. Vote on the positives.

Not really--mostly I've been reviewing things based on flow. Live material does not flow IMO.

And, for the record, I vote like Screwtape does. He got my vote a ton of times last year because I felt he put more effort in than his opponent. Taste fits in there too, but it's not just "I like this one more, so I voted for it" on all occasions.

How can someone really tell how much effort someone else put into something?

if you didn't like it, you didn't like it. that's fine. but don't base everything on one or two songs. it should ultimately be about the story told, the flow, the experience, etc. if that was successfully conveyed, then the playlist was successful, even if it was chock full of backstreet boys songs.

Really, now? Then what about the "oh, it was really great up until this song" or "had to take off some points for those REM and Prince songs"?

Because things don't flow perfectly and have a great concept by sheer coincidence.
