A railway, or more to the point a trolleyway, used to run down here. It's an old wharf in Motueka on the western side of Tasman Bay at the north end of the South Island.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Don't ask me, I saw U2 2D!

(My weird-as-hell vision fucked me over.)

The sound quality is really quite excellent and it's edited together very well. I hope Hamish Hamilton has seen it.

We safely made it to the Gold Coast.

Crazy part - the interior was nicer than the Air NZ plane i'd flown to Sydney on

This is just a random part of Raumati Marine Gardens, beachside parkland in my hometown.

I'm trying to decide what's worse: the plane disintegrating, or making it to the Gold Coast. I have to book a flight there sometime this evening too.

Interior of a Wellington train, an EM class electric multiple unit.

New Zealand's railways have a very small loading gauge. The trains feel absolutely tiny inside compared to Melbourne trains.

A fishing contest of some description at Raumati Beach.

In the distance are Pukerua Bay (where Peter Jackson's from) and Mana Island.

It's less hideous than the post I'm quoting!

The guy making the post is pretty hideous too.
