More 5G Than Man
Wow, what to say about this record. It's a classic for one thing, but what is so striking to me about this album is just how it sounds. It must be possible to get high just listening to this record; I've never heard something so drugged up yet conscious of its surroundings. And that's exactly why this album deserves its own thread; it changed the landscape of black music (though if we're picking the greatest funk albums ever, I would pick One Nation Under A Groove every time ), and showed that it is possible to be so stoned you're barely conscious and still be able to make a whole lot of sense to people not on your same "plane".
Feels so good inside myself, I don't want to move
