So what's your strategy:

Go to bed early and get up for it...

or

Stay up for it?

I'm going to tape it. :shh:

Unfortunately it'll most likely just be one long track, and therefore unwieldy.

Let me just say this album is utter brilliance. I'm on Leave Me (Like You Found Me) and every single song has blown me away.

And can I just be the first to say that this album sounds remarkably like Get Back session - era Beatles? I mean, "I Hate It Hear" seriously confused me for a while. Sounds like the third cousin to Don't Let Me Down or something.

An album can hardly garner better praise than that too.

holy shit, the end of impossible germany :combust:

That made me look to see what song it was. That's a good sign for me. :)

neon bible is slowly being pushed away from its position as album of the year...

it reminds me of something from the white album.

edit: ha! "birthday" it is. listen to the bass on "i hate it here".

Neon Bible, you know I love you, but I'm not so sure you can compete with this.

But seriously, does this not sound like White Album/Get Back - era Beatles? It's amazingly similar.

And Side With the Seeds is definitely my favorite track ont he album. :combust:

Either Way, You Are My Face, Impossible Germany, and I Hate It Here are close too. :faint:

yes, i keep hearing beatles stuff in it too.

the song writing and guitar playing here are simply amazing.

on and on and on is a friggin' beautiful closer.

I hear ya. When On and On and On explodes near the end...man. This is Beatles-level songwriting here.

yep. neon bible, you are now #2.

what a wonderful album, wilco has made here. it could very well become my favourite wilco album. their mellow side is awesome and cline has taken the guitar playing to another level.

gotta find some recorded mp3s out there.

I agree 100% with you U2Man.

Neon Bible has been bumped, and this might end up being my favorite Wilco.

God, I can't wait to see them on tour. Hopefully Bonnaroo too. :combust:

Who are we kidding U2Man, let's just say every single song on here is amazing and call it a night.

But seriously, "Sky Blue Sky" is a gorgeous song as well.

And I swear to god, "I Hate It Here" is the distant cousin to "Don't Let Me Down"

yeah, i havent heard a single song i didnt like here.

thumbs up for wilco

so, thom, jonny, colin, ed and phil... your turn...

Yeah I'm pretty thrilled with this album too. You know an album is good when you want to name 6 or 7 different songs as "highlights".

I think On and On and On blew me away the most on first listen. The build up in that song was just amazing.
