I actually tried out for this show back in January. Our team was one of very few who made it past the written test. After that, we had an on-camera interview, which we really thought we had nailed. But we knew we still only had about a 5% chance of our team being chosen for the next level of auditions. We didn't make it and to this day still can't figure out why some of these other teams did.

Anyway, if anyone has any questions about the audition process, i'm happy to answer them.

Ha ha haaa ... if you don't know the difference between Band-Aid and USA For Africa, honey ... no business on the show.

NO SOUP FOR YOU!!
I would've said Dan Aykroyd

He was the only person to participate in both! Who would have thought he could even sing?

They originally wanted Eddie Murphy, but he was filming a movie or something at the time.

USA for Africa had a really eclectic group of people:

Hall AND Oates, Cyndi Lauper, Huey Lewis, Kim Carnes, Kenny Loggins, Willie Nelson, Dionne Warwick, Ray Charles in a glassbox, Bruce, Paul Simon, and of course Michael Jackson at his absolute peak.

I taped last night's finale, at least the one that aired last night. Don't know if it was originally on prior to my taping. I fell asleep watching it when it aired, but I know who the 2 final teams are. I couldn't believe that one of the team's members had never seen Dirty Dancing (that was a category). I think I did alright on the Marty quotes. But the TV show scenarios - a couple I had never heard of!
