The 'what ever happened to''thread

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
He did try a minor comeback in 92 or 93 I think. It was shocking!
I didnt mind his big hits tho! 'Never Gonna Give U Up' and 'Together Forever'. Legendary!

Tomer. I know he is not famous or whatever and I know why he is not here anymore but I know he made some true friends here so I ask: what happened to him? Did he get married and had kids or something? Is he here with another nick?

Run away train never coming back
Wrong way on a one way track
Feels like we should be getting somewhere
Somehow we're neither here nor there

Bought a ticket for a runaway train
like a madman laughing at the rain
little out of touch, little insane
just easier than dealing with the pain

I love that song. I miss Soul Asylum, one of my favorite 90's bands (and I don't like too many 90's bands)

hey! the specials are from my hometown. There was talk of them getting back together,25 years on and all that, but Terry Hall said bollocks:ohmy: So that ain't happening!

Didnt he marry one of Banarama and take up surfing?

I beg to differ that he was "half" of Wham.

How about the fixx and the alarm? I loved them in high school.

These were two of my favorites as well. I saw the Fixx at a People's Fair here in Denver about two years ago. Cy Curnin has obviously been working out. He's become the Joe Piscapo of aging rockers. They sounded great, really. But it was sad in a way. A band that started at roughly the same time as U2 and here they were playing at a free concert for maybe 500 people who were barely paying attention. And U2, well...

And didn't you see the special VH1 had on the Alarm? I can't remember the name of the series but the idea was to pull together a band for one show who had long since broken up and stopped speaking. The Alarm was featured on that just last summer. When they revved into 68 Guns I literally started tearing up. It was bizarre.

I did see the vh1 special, it was bands reunited. Even though the Fixx started at the same time as U2, well, no comparison.
