haha. you know it.

... having just arrived home from the school, i've never looked so lovely as i do now: a puke stain on my pants, glue stuck to my hair, orange and purple paint embedded under my fingernails, children's tears and snot dried to my shirt, and last but not least, a glow on my face.

Receptionists can make or break a practice, they are super important to client service, and it's the clients that are paying the bills, not the animals (but we wouldn't be in business without them either).

Thanks for the pep talk! I finally realized that the reason he was asking me that was because he didn't want me to leave. Believe me I am well aware of the money thing. But I finally have a job that I really like so I'm willing to stick with it. I've been reading your journal. Sounds like school is going really well. Best of luck!

I think I'm destined for a life like Cass Its always gonna change and be bits of this and that.

Until recently, I was however a Data Analyst, and before that a welfare worker mainly in disabilities. Anyone who is considering volunteer work, try Childrens Disabilities sector. There is something absolutely amazing about these kids. I dont think anyone would know or care what a data analyst does, so I wont explain lol.

Teaching young kids can be a very tiring, thankless job at times. I hope the glow always remains with you.

I was suspecting that he may have just been fishing, but why can't they just say gosh, you're great, hope you're with us forever! Glad you do love your job, it really comes through when you're dealing with people throughout the day.

And thanks for the encouragement - not always easy or entirely enjoyable, but I'm learning alot and glad for the opportunity to be where I am

I'm a:

Mom - 3 kids from almost 3 - 11
Assistant Controller - Part Time for a mail order company.
Business Owner - Part time (I'm slowly trying to start a business selling herbal products like soaps, sachets, salves, culinary mixes, etc. My house smells pretty nice with the inventory I've been collecting, but I haven't found the time to do the marketing literature. )
