The Vines: New album: Melodia

Anyone hear the new Vines album, Melodia?

I listened through it once already and I was not impressed. The Vines became one of my favourite bands after their last album, Vision Valley. I feel that Melodia misses the magic. Maybe my music tastes have changed but Melodia sounds way to hard-rock. I can't stand all their screaming, etc. Why can't they make more ballads a la vision valley?

Who knows, maybe on the second listen I'll find new appreciation.

I couldn't stand their screaming in their singles. Quite detestable band really, letting down Australian music.

Have played it 4 times and still trying to get into it. Do love their other stuff. Will play the new CD a few more times on the weekend and hope.
