Limp Bizkit To Release Greatest Hits CD
Published: 2005-09-28
Well, it had to happen. I suppose. Limp Bizkit have announced plans to release a greatest hits compilation, thus forever enshrining “Nookie” in the hallowed rap-rock canon. The collection, rebelliously titled Greatest Hitz, will feature all your favourite Bizkit classics – remember “Break Stuff”? – along with two previously unreleased songs named “Why” and “Lean On Me”. Best of all, though, shall be the one brand new track to be featured on the album. According to reports, we can all look forward to a Limp Bizkit-style “medley” of Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home” and The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony”. Seriously. This cannot be bad.
The collection, which was originally scheduled for release in 2004, will finally be released for public consumption on November 8, coincidentally the very same day as the release of a DVD celebrating the band’s video legacy, imaginatively entitled Greatest Videoz. The band, led by the never tiresome Fred Durst, are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to last year’s unironically titled The Unquestionable Truth (Part I). Durst has also been dabbling in movie acting and hanging out at every Hollywood party ever.
An official track listing for Greatest Hitz has not yet been released.
