"the universal" is one of the best songs of all time, guys.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

The Universal - Blur

This is the next century
Where the universal's free
You can find it anywhere
Yes, the future has been sold
Every night we're gone
And to karaoke songs
How we like to sing a long
Although the words are wrong

It really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go

No one here is alone, satellites in every home
Yes the universal's here, here for everyone
Every paper that you read
Says tomorrow is your lucky day
Well, here's your lucky day

It really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go

Well, it really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go

Just let them go

quite clearly anyone who disagrees with me hasn't a foot to stand on, i'm afraid.

feel free to enjoy the following visual entertainment...

I don't like that song.

It's an ok song. I like the string arrangement. Sounds like it could be the backing music to a video montage of great world cup goals or something...

the live performance reallly took off after the pause...

GREAT VIDEO... GREAT CHORUS...

it all came to a conclusion with the old man cane..

Didn't live in the UK in the 90s, missed Blur and Oasis.
Don't really care, though.

both are decent bands.

but i prefer the real deal: the beatles and the kinks.

Oasis>>>>>>>Blur

Sorry zoomerang :p
Yeah yeah I know, Blur writes good party songs and Oasis makes it okay for tough kids from Manchester to have feelings.

Blur stomps all over Oasis and buries them in their own shame.

Or something like that. I'm not good with metaphors.

Parklife is ridiculously great. Much smarter than anything Oasis could ever come up with.

"Champagne Supernova" is kind of cool though, to be fair.

I guess Blur and Oasis could kinda sorta be paralleled with REM and U2 respectively. Blur & REM both lost a band member and became more and more indie/obscure, slowly shunning the spotlight. Not really so much in the case of Blur but you know! Oasis is still doing the kind of music they do best like U2. :hmm:

Why compare Blur and Oasis though?

One band got off writing original material, and the other found success copying The Beatles and The Kinks.

hey-oh!

and let's not even begin to compare guitarists...

cause damon's better than anyone in oasis.

ha!

you
you all
haha
you thought i was gonna say graham
but no! i said
um
who did i say

oh yeah damon
he's not much of a guitarist
but he's still better than the oasis dudes

hahahaha

sorry.

i'm not trying to incite anything here, i really don't mind oasis.

Oh no troubles man, I see what you're saying.

I prefer Noel Gallagher by himself, like the MTV Unplugged special.

But Damon is in a league all by himself, that guy's a genius.

Gorillaz anyone?

Definitely Maybe/What's The Story/The Masterplan>>>>>>>>>>Any Blur album

Oh yeah.

I proudly stuck 2 fingers up at the big Blur love-fest :bonodrum:
