u2popmofo dubed this coming tuesday "heaven on earth day" due to the number of albums coming out on that day. so i guess i'm kind of posting this on behalf of him and myself, just to shamelessly act as an advertisement for a bunch of bands that you guys should all like just as much.

I approve of this thread.

(everyone please notice my signature)

arw, of course it had to be one of us

u2popmofo, glad you aprove.

let's keep this thing bumped up towards the top of the page :mac:

I listened to Sing The Sorrow last night. It rocked. Cant wait for the hidden track.

Read a bunch more Sing the Sorrow reviews last night (you can find the links in http://www.afireinside.net/features/press/index.php ). Everything I've seen is EXTREMELY positive. Good stuff.

AFI - Sing the Sorrow reviews so far

Rollingstone - 4 stars
Q magazine - 4 stars
Kerrang - 4 K's (equivalent of 4 stars)
Spin - B+

more on the way...

the everclear album has bonus cd features. just watched the video for "volvo driving soccer mom". there's more stuff too...

certainly a tracklisting like that couldn't dissapoint anyone. i mean, if i were to pick my 40 favourite clash songs, they'd definetly be different, but then again they'd change 5 minutes after i complied the list

i don't know about "this is england" though...gotta check out that one...i'm wary of anything off "cut the crap" cos i woulnd't consider it the clash...but still...you will not be dissapointed by the cd's sellection

*looking at list*

ok, i could have sworn that the last track on disc 1 was "groovy times" not "wrong em boyo"...

*goes to research*

I think that I'll buy the Essential Clash and AFI's new one... mofo hyped it up so much...

Thought I should say something... I always have to get a word into one of your threads.:mac:

aaaaaaah yuck, old boy. everclear???!?!? coooooooooome ooooon!

This coming from a guy hailing from Chad Krueger-ville... ouch.

I'm from Alberta, aka Chad-Kruegerville... and as much as I'd like to start Nickel-bashin', this is a thread about the Clash and AFI... But, I thought Nickelback's second album "The State" was OK... the new one is comparable to horse manure... sorry if you take offense... who really cares what I think?

i care what you think, because i hate nickelback as much as you do. i dont know why i put nickelback shit into my profile, but its certainly in a most-mocking way.

im glad we agree.

I was suspicious of that... but, I thought I'd defend the thread from mullet invasion...

i admit i'm a loser for liking everclear. there's still something i really like about them, though.

our music director was more than happy to get the cd out of the station, even though he knows it will be back every friday for my show. the new album is good. i think their best is "songs from an american movie vol. 2 good time for a bad atttitude", but this one isn't bad at all. i like it.

is deathbear the only person who DOESN'T hang out regularly in the randooom thread who's replied to this?!?!

i command you ALL to read my thread!

why does this thread seem to keep falling down the page?
