Sorry, EU citizens who are not French nationals, you can't enjoy freedom of movement here.

Thanks, both of you. Not 100% sure on what it is at the moment, but the doctors don't think it's anything serious and are just keeping her in overnight to monitor things before hopefully releasing her in the morning. I'm just relieved it has nothing to do with pancreatitis, which had her in hospital in the middle of February and is just nasty. She described the pain of pancreatitis as worse than childbirth, even.
