Hey whatever kickstarts you, VP.

I always try and work right through to one so when I come back from lunch I only have 3 hours left. :smartcookie:

I'm the same way, VP. If my landlord comes to fix anything, or if there are other service people in my house, I definitely can't be just lazing around. It makes me feel guilty too, so I usually end up doing something productive or smart-looking to make myself feel more comfortable.

That'd make the afternoon go much faster, April.

Thora, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

My iPod has been playing songs that are making me think it's time for another iTunes cleanup.

You know the stuff you threw on there when you first got it, that you thought you'd listen to all the time?

Likewise, VP!

I don't know why I feel guilty about watching TV or messing about on the internet when those types of people are there. We should psychoanalyze ourselves! There's gotta be an explanation...

That reminds me, I was going to ask Snow if there were group rates for that type of thing in London. I figure psychoanalysis mixed in with the slutting couldn't hurt - at least in my case.

I think it's some sort of guilt - the need for others to think we're productive at all times. This man has no effect on my life whatsoever. Why should I care what he thinks of me? I shouldn't. But I apparently do.

April, what type of therapy would you prefer? Freudian psychoanalysis, that delves into your unconscious and resolves deep-seated conflicts from your past, or something more modern?

I think I need it all, frankly.

The Freudian special sounds about right, though.

Psychologists charge an unreal amount of money. Even their rates for group therapy are really high...

That sounds about right. I have way too much guilt in my life. And I care too damn much.

Oh, me too. I think guilt is much more common to females than males. We have to be the best at everything, and we're people-pleasers. I think that a bit of guilt can be healthy, it spurs us on, but when we can't live up to unreasonably high expectations we have of ourselves, it can result in real problems.

The learning never stops ladies.

Apparently "why are you such a bitch, is it really that entertaining?" is a rhetorical question. Responses are actually not appreciated

I totally agree. I've definitely had unreasonably high expectations of myself in the past.

Is it lunch time yet?! I'm so hungry!
