Gotta stick up for my better half because she said she's taking some heat.

I believe the inspiration and most of the songs for the Wall came from Waters. And I think it's agreed (by the band as well) that DSOTM was also born out of an idea by Waters. With a good chunk of the album also written by him.

But I'm not sure what the discussion here is about. Something about Gilmore being a better guitarist than Waters is a bassist. Seems like apples and oranges to me. Unfortunately, I like them both, got to see Floyd a number of times and this sort of topic never came up. But if I have a choice now of who I'm going to see if their both playing the same night, it's Roger 9 out of 10 times. Just enjoy his live shows more.

BTW: Isn't it Gilmore who put those two dead hippies (Crosby and Nash) on his last album.

I think the argument was who's better overall, Gilmour or Waters. I prefer GIlmour, but I don't pay much attention to lyrics. I most focus on the guitar, especially the solos.

Given a choice between seeing one or the other, I'd rather see Gilmour, thought I've never seen Floyd with Waters, so I don't really know what he's like live. Something about the guy bugs me though.

Professional Question for you: If one of your reports ended every conversation they had with you with, "Yeah, well, all right man, take it easy," would that reflect poorly on them?

That's the thing, it wouldn't be every conversation, it would be the first one, and then we'd extend that discussion, and then that would be the last time.

I am laying down the law, I'm just not having concrete shoes made for them like your post sounded. And the total today is 3, with one on a plan. Unfucking real.

And though you had three of my favorites, we still had Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. Plus, we invented blues guitar, so Robert Johnson > Everything since.

Eat THAT with a crumpet*?

* what is a crumpet, like a biscuit? You know what's awesome - shortbread. That's Scottish though, right? Anyone ever have haggis? Is that good?

So I should stop saying that to my boss then? I don't realize I'm doing it until I'm done though. That's just how I talk. What if said person was pretty good at his job, say Award Winning good? Would that help? And what would you say, "Don't call me man?"

Tre - cause beer guys are fairly easy to replace, though not as easy as bassists.

What's lemon curd?

I love english muffins.

I think I'm going to try haggis, but I'll pissed if I'm still hungry afterwards.
