I'm glad that Lost and BSG are ending too. They're both still pretty good, though probably over their peak. Though Razor was pretty badass - very dark.

And add AD and Firefly to your list, too.
But did 4400 end prematurely? Huh? HUH??? It's the most politically insightful show on tv after all, I think it could have gone a few more seasons.

Actually, I was hoping to get some sentimentality out of the movie, but I counldn't get past JEJ spraying Costner with the DDT or whatever that was. I was like, "Wow, this is awful." I remember that last scene very vividly, and it's a great scene, but the preceeding 119 minutes (or whatever) are unbearable.

I actually did watch 4400 on a fairly regular basis. But I would never describe it as "real good." I liked it, but I'm fine it's gone. I'd like some resolution, I guess, but whatever. And I never got any insights (political or otherwise) from that show.

^ lmao.

Seriously, I keep waiting for lengthy interference discussions between Mudfield and Ira Steven Behr.

Make it happen.

Speaking Sandplotofland, it really is scary how much information you can find out about someone just by googling their forum name.

Sorry NSW, I don't think he's going to change his mind on Israel any time soon...

I don't even know wtf 4400 is about, I tend not to like science-fictiony type shows. I watched ST:TNG, because back in the day, my ex watched it 24/7, and so I kinda got to like it.

Sarah recently got into Dr. Who and Torchwood. I think she's watched all the eps. She made me watch a few Dr. Who eps last weekend, and they were okay. We'll probably watch more over the holidays.

Well, me, for starters.

VP, 6 Feet Under did end on time, agreed. I just like when shows do not overstay their welcome strictly because Networks want to use them as a cash cow. When a guy like Gervais can call his own shots, you end up with a finite arc, and it translates into quality.

And that's what its really about. American television simply does not understand (and I would probably argue - value) the meta-narrative. Most shows are built upon minor substories without any thought to long term resolution.

You can take me on a lot of crazy rabbit trails if you convince me that one day they will serve a purpose in the big picture. Lost regained that trust from me with the last 5 minutes of last season.

If the temple bar were a sports team, I would say that Lynook, pfan, LemonMac and LemonMelon are the rookie phenoms. They need to step up to the plate more in 2k8, increase posting productivity while maintaining their high level of quality. The future of this place is resting with you guys. I see great things coming from you all.

I just asked her to download Breakfast at Tiffanys. I've had an inexplicable urge to watch that for the past few days. I only first saw it about a year ago, I'm ashamed to admit.

She just informed me that at her uni's poster and dvd sales, there's a ton of Audrey Hepburn crap for sale these days. She must be like a new retro cultural icon, or something.
