you were being nice, as were the other two I think.

don't you have a tree to put up and food to ship to me instead of wasting time defending yourself

ideally if you could slip down to the ukranian hall and grab me some preogies to go with the other stuff that would be great/sidenote

I meant to say the other two were as well, thanks for pointing that out. :reject:

Yes, I still have a tree to put up, what of it? :shifty:

I'll add the Ukrainian hall to my to-do list. You might get them in time for easter.

I've been watching the Food Network lately, since nothing's on tv anymore. I was thinking of trying my own perogies. They can't be that hard, can they? I'm experiencing a bout of culinary creativity. Plus, I'm on a healthy eating kick, and TFN somehow satisfies me. I can look, but I can't touch. It's food porn.

easter is not soon enough. I'll settle for valentines day

I don't think they would be all that difficult to make, but that's coming from a vested interest point of view ;)

I haven't watched any TV in a long time, I think the last food thing I saw was that hot chef that I've been looking for everytime I go to Superstore. Is he still on? and yes - when you throw him in def food porn.

here - I'll let you cut out my masterpiece and tape it to the wall. Enlarge it and no one will know that it's not real - M I RITE???

Heh. That's certainly easier than putting up my own tree, and what it lacks in style, it makes up for with a certain naive charm. :tempted:

Remember the antiques I was looking to get rid of? I just had my second go-round with dealers last week, and just yesterday packed up what's left for storage. Those boxes have been sitting were where my tree goes for the past 6 or 8 months, hence my tree tardiness this year.

I let a bunch of stuff go for next to nothing, just to get it out of here.

oh wow, that's shitty. Do you have any good pieces left?
at least you've gotten rid of some of it which I know you wanted to do but it sucks you didn't get more for it.

I still have this:

And this:
953%20v2%20B-Org.JPG

The bottom one is listed at 175 pounds, the top up to 1,200 pounds.

And a set of Limoges Elite China, circa 1890. And tables. And silver, which apparently doesn't sell now. And other crap. I think I'm going to hang onto the more valuable pieces of what's left, and the rest, I'll have an "upscale garage sale" in the spring, like one dealer suggested.

I think it's icky. I love cheese, and feel like I should like it, but everytime I try some I'm like "oh shit, why'd I do that?" and then I gag and vow to remember I don't really like it. Then I do it all over again, the next time we have some. :( :dumb:

No, I'm working Monday and Wednesday....Thurs/Fri I'm off, but that so I can take my son to baseball camp.

I just got back from the gym, we took my daughter for the first time...she liked it...

How are you Ms. VP...:flirt:

You poor Americans, having to work the day after Christmas. Sigh.

I'm well, thanks. Got my shopping done, just have to wrap, get my tree up, shop for food, plan and make dinner...

I'm not really a cheese person,

That's the most horrible thing I've ever heard! Or the saddest.

In other news, I finally found my missing Franz Ferdinand CD. I was going through my CDs and clearing some stuff out, and I found it inside a Charlie Sexton CD case.

Veep, you still rock my world for uploading it for me last week. :)

Yay for finding it! It was no problem, I'm surprised I hadn't ripped it long ago. I need a bigger hard drive so I can get more of my cds on here.

Brie? Sarah loves it. I think she ate and entire wheel at Snow's place.

sarah and the brie :cute:

I will make sure I'm well stocked the next time you guys are out this way!!

thats cool about the statuettes - how did the recommend selling them?

I'm super hungry. It's raining, which should deter me from wanting to go out and find some takeout, but it's so tempting. There's a sushi place not far from here that has an awesome special - 16 rolls for $6.99. You get to pick two choices from a list.

The dealers that came and bought the stuff last week are the ones who appraised the estate to begin with. We discussed, which I've heard time and time again over the past year, that the bottom has fallen out of the antique market. They blame ebay. They say, which makes sense, that no matter what the book value of items are, they're only worth what they're going for on ebay. They did suggest putting them on ebay and setting a price limit, but the thought of them getting ruined in shipping makes me averse to that.

The trick is, you have to find someone who is into the specific items you're selling to get anywhere close to their value, and I just can't be bothered. I don't really have any attachment to the horses, except sentimentally because of what they meant to the lady who owned them...so, I'll probably just hang onto them, and someday Sarah's grandchildren can deal with selling them.

ebay :tsk:

it all makes sense though. at least you have gotten something. dealers must be really suffering themselves unless they jump on the ebay wagon.

enjoy your sushi cori.

do I need to go to Toys r us today or will a gift cert do instead?

I'm going to toys r us tonight :( Wrapping I realized I forgot a couple things.

brie isn't always cooked right? I don't like it cooked and melty. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong spreadable cheese.

I gotta go up to my parents soon. I'm getting an upgrade to my AAA membership for christmas "since my car is so unreliable".

I know I should be excited.

god i want some bacon

Unless you're sure of the specific item the kid wants, and that no one else is getting it for him/her, I'd go for the gift card.

I don't really have any little kids to buy for anymore. :( Because my brother and sister are so much older than me, I'm closer in age to all of my nieces and nephews, and so now I have a shitload of great nieces/nephews - they've been spawning at an alarming rate over the past 5 years or so :yikes: so, we all just sorta buy for our own kids now. I kinda miss toy shopping.

Kat :hyper:

Yep, the first one. I like both their albums but don't love them. I was happy to find the CD, though.

The second one I didn't like as much, although "Walk Away" is my favorite song by them.
