In most countries a silver medal is something to celebrate, and in Canada it is as well.. except where hockey's concerned. For hockey, a silver is a crushing disappointment (we take hockey kind of seriously here )

(Let it be noted, however, that even in our disappointment we do not trash hotel rooms like certain teams in other sports *cough*USA*cough* have done *g*)

right back at ya... I'm beginning to think that you were right about some things you said last week.

Yes, Canadiana lost. When it was 4-2 I had visions of celebrating in the streets in my head. It wasn't the Olympics, but this is as close to experiencing a moment like the 1987 Canada Cup final in person as I have ever been and I took it hard. I left moments after the winning goal yesterday, because I couldn't stand to see them celebrating.

I saw the score Was it at least a good game?

It was a great game. Fantastic crowd and atmosphere. Just a very disappointing outcome.
