I love it!

Here's a practice run I did. Should I tweak it some, or totally scrap it and come up with something new? Be honest.

Bravo...

Not bad for a dry run...

You have a cute voice....

OK, so my suggestions:

Instead of "Well, first of all, I love politicians." makes you sound like a groupie...try "Well, first of all, my passion is politics and discovering more about the people who hold elected or appointed positions"

Also instead of "I can cut through the robot that only speaks in talking points" try "My personable approach allows me to cut through the robot..."

Only suggestions, you can toss them out and stamp all over them if you want...I won't be hurt...

Those were two parts I was really struggling with and those are great suggestions, thanks!

Great job! I love your accent! I like what Reg suggested. I would add that I think practicing what you'll say a few more times will help make it look and sound a little more natural. I know it's a dry run, but it's looking great so far.

Wait I like "I have a personable approach which allows me to cut through the robot..."...better than my previous suggestion.

That works too

Though let's be honest, I'm assuming there will be hundreds if not a couple thousand video entries...how do I stand out?

OK I'm thinking about scrapping what I have and starting over so I can stand out more. Here's MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist, 2 awesome guys talking about the contest:

Thanks Carlos

I need to make the video memorable. I may be passionate and have connections, but where does that get me in a contest like this?

The script/video I have now is good, but I don't think it's great or memorable

I liked the part where you take off your glasses and use that BW move....don't change that.

Yeah I definitely want to keep that...and maybe the part about granting NBC an exclusive interview...but the rest is ultimately forgettable, IMO. Or maybe I'm way overestimating the competition

How about a camera shot that follows you around while you talk? Instead of just sitting down?.....I'm just brain storming....

I was thinking about that too.

It's too bad the max is 2 minutes, I feel like I could do so much more with more time!
