You guys are the epitome of caring and supportiveness, and I'd just like to state that if I ever had a problem, I'd feel like I could come to any of you with it.

But seriously, hope the appt went well for you, NSW.

There is no outcome yet. I mean, it's looking a lot like a stone of some variety, which, is not going to be a pleasant ride. I've had family and friends that have passed stones and they were in all sorts of agony, even with painkillers. It still could be an infection of some sort, but there's no real evidence of that at this point. So, you know, until there's a real diagnosis, I'm sort of on edge, but it is what it is.

Thanks for the concern, all, we'll see what happens.

Good luck NSW, I hope it's something that's easily treated and not painful.

can't they laser stones now or something? I thought I heard that. I guess you'd still have to pass the broken up pieces. I'm not sure how I'll do a pictoral for that or an infection, I'll figure something out. we're with you every step of the way here. :teamwork:

Oh man, hope you feel better Mike. I hear that is one of the worse things a guy can go through.

They can laser them if they do not pass in 30 days, or are too large....but they generally like to avoid the process, and prefer to let people pass them organically. Hey, it might not even be a stone, but, my symptoms and the progression are consistent with it.

We shall see. I look forward to waiting for 2 days to get the results.

Oh, hey, thanks Carlos.

I feel bad now, like I'm bringing the Bar down. Sorry.

I'm certainly not a medical professional, but I don't think that's where a stone would be.

down??!?!?!?! are you kidding? clearly we've been waiting for something like this :thisbarthrivesonpain:

we've had nothing to flap about for days. maybe beav can do a probability thing of something in excel. is it bad form for you to write your own haiku about this? maybe it's better if mia does it.

why would they avoid the process? how is not better to break them up as small as possible? can you argue with them about that? hopefully it's not that though.

Hope you are feeling better soon Mike. Get all the painkillers you can. I remember hubby at the hospital when they gave him some medication where he felt no pain whatsover. Then he came home and was in slight pain until the stone moved down and was ready to pass. That was agonizing. If it's a kidney stone, the doctor will probably give you some sort of strainer or thing to catch it in. You need to bring it in to be analyzed. Fun times.

Keep up the good work team

I sit and wait for
a clear cut diagnosis
of my own urine

Nervous and on edge
I don't want a small stone to
pass through my penis
