I was excited to see it, to be honest, and walked away feeling very meh.

There are parts that are eye-rollingly silly, but I do still think overall it's not as bad as a lot of people say it is.

Plus, it's got Kate Winslet, and Kate Winslet automatically = awesome.

I have intentionally avoided it, especially considering there's so many other films out there to watch.

I think I've seen it maybe two or three times, but not for many years. Sarah was quite taken with it when it came out, so I got it for her on VHS. Man, that seems like a million years ago. She also did a school project and presentation on it for her enrichment class, and built a model of the ship. It was Titanic mania for several months in this house.

Kate Winslet and DiCaprio are two actors I enjoy immensely., especially Kate, she's amazing.

I think that for me, the best part was when the ship went down. I was kind of absorbed then, it kind of hit home for some reason. The shrieks and whatnot just got to me.

I do not think it's a bad film, but, I also do not understand the worship it gets in some quarters.

Yeah, the centerpiece of the movie, and also the most well-done part was the sinking. I seriously can't watch the part without tissues where the musicians play "Nearer My God To Thee" over scenes of the destruction, and the mom tucking in her kids to bed and their impending doom, and the couple embracing in their bed as water floods in.

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I cry during 2 different scenes in Chariots of Fire. I cry at some very odd times, but, I know the reasons why, usually.
