Oh, I feel old.

"If you get caught between the moon! and! New! York! Ciiiiiity ... I know it's crazy .... but it's true!"

and

"Saaaaaaaaaaailing! Takes me awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! To where! I've! always! heeeeeeard it should be..."

I might get a new iPod this year. My battery keeps dying more and more ... other than that, my U2 iPod I got in '04 still works great.

I saw the newish iPod Classics are about $250 for I think it was 30 gigs? Or 20? That would be perfect, and it's about half of what I thought I'd be paying.

Nevada is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO, no clear winner is a win for Obama because Clinton SHOULD have had it locked up.

Pssssst---mia---in case you didn't get my text, BW crossed his legs and I started giggling :giggle:

Seriously. Most of the moments that make me cry? He's singing.

WOTTA VOICE.

I have that "concert" version of the musical, the event they put on for the show's 10th anniversary, where they had all the Big Name stars come out to perform. Mostly singing, a tad bit of production. PBS showed it ad nauseum in the late 90s, so of course I had to buy the CD and DVD.

The first time I heard it, it was the original cast, and the girl who played Eponine made me want to shoot my ears off. So whiny and irritating. Lea Salonga is light years better.

yes, colm :faint:

I saw him play Valjean in the late 90's, I can't remember who played Eponine at the time. It was brilliant.

Ooh, I'm jealous. I saw it for the first time here in Seattle about two years ago. I really enjoyed it, and the singers were all really great. I was relieved - I was worried that I'd hate one of the leads or something.

NSW: Depends. Do you like musicals?

Maybe check some tunes out on YouTube before committing to buying the whole shebang.

Here are some of the "Big Numbers" from that 10th anniversary concert - I like that performance the best, but no idea if it's available on iTunes.

One Day More: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuffHRacZMQ

(If you've seen the South Park movie, that's the kind of thing they're parodying when they have their big musical number about Les Resistance - it's spot on and AWESOME.)

Bring Him Home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrX_WT9LGzo&feature=related

Empty Chairs At Empty Tables: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hmt0DmiRhTw

(Cue Alicia crying.)

Master Of the House: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdavdTKfCo4

(I love that performance - everyone looks like they're just having such an awesome time.)

At the End of the Day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_04HBYmZJo

These are all out of order from how they appear, but I just posted them as I found them on YouTube.

Master of the House! Here I was thinking of the tear jerking moments and forgetting how great that is *G*

Master of the house.. isn't worth my spit.. comforter, philosopher and lifelong shit... Cunning little brain, regular Voltaire.. thinks he's quite a lover (but there's not much there)...
