My friend was Colombian and I'd go to his house, and I'd use my high school spanish skillz to say things like, "May I have a glass a milk?" and everyone would cover their mouths and laugh and my friend would be all, "Technically, you asked for a glass of milk, but you also asked for sex from a monkey." And I'd say, "I just want milk." And they'd all keep laughing. Every friggin word meant two things - and one was always embarrasing.

haha my spanish professor loved me b/c when we peer-reviewed papers, i always wrote that the students' translations were too literal (i.e. they used babelfish). i sucked at spanish but i could smell a shit effort a mile away.
