i thought this one was a little slow, but i enjoyed the wedding and the end was crucial to how Tony's narrative arc is going to play over the course of the season -- he's going to be even more neurotic and self-examining (not critical, though), it should be fun to watch.

i thought the Vito thing was a bit far-fetched. a closeted married man doesn't own leather and dance at gay bars -- he's cruising online looking for discrete encounters. and i have to bristle, just a little bit, whenever stereotypes are invoked so fully (though the whole show is amped up, and certainly tribal in how it views different "groups," so it's in line with how these gangsters see the world).

but it was sort of funny.

and i had sausage and peppers tonight, to complimen the show.

Really? Pretty cool!

I thought tonight was great...

So, any bets on what Vito did? And did Tony tear his stomach punching out his bodyguard? I had a feeling he was going to do something like that eventually, just to prove he's still boss. I liked how he was sizing everyone up.

Oh, and his line to Melfi was classic Tony...

I see irvine's in here

Lasagne was on the menu over here. God bless my Italian mother.

Sorta. Finn saw him going down on a security guard (techinically I gues Vito was coming up). after that, Vito has always sorta been "freindly" to Finn, and Finn gets very uncomfortable around him.

it seems as if we're led to believe that Vito killed himself, but that seems a little bit too easy, and there's nothing to make me think that Vito is that depressed -- though he did mention suicide as a way out of the closet in the first episode of the season.

i don't know. it wouldn't make sense if he killed himself.

i think he's totally into Finn, and you did notice how he tried to drive AJ home even though it was totally out of his way in the first or second episode, but Paulie objected.

though neither Finn nor AJ are at all my type.

i did like Tony's new bodyguard ...

My first thought was he was going to off the two guys who saw him at the club.

But, notice, he called Sil really late to see what was going on, and then later the other guys said they hadn't heard from him in a few days. So, who knows...

Oh, and fyi, I can totally see why he'd be into Finn

my favorite part were Johnny Sack's daughters, one overweight and the other emaciated, and the comment, "WHY CAN'T THIS FAMILY TALK ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN FOOD!" was one of the great Soprano's lines, imho.

no idea what's going to happen with Vito. i thought, too, that he might kill those guys. in some ways, i feel some sympathy for him, but then again, he is a criminal and a terrible person.

the more i think about it, the more over-the-top and unnecessary the leather bar was. you'd think the director would be aware that it isn't 1981 anymore.

Ah...

If I swung that way, I'd do Meadow. She's beautiful.

Ok, I'd make out with her for free drinks, at the very least.

Well, they are in New Jersey. I mean, people still like Bon Jovi over there.

i thought the bar was in NYC? why would Vito go to a bar in NJ where he could so easily get caught ... and weren't they members of Johnny Sack's crew who saw him?

but point well taken about NJ.

(would it be awful if i said that i may or may not have seen a Bon Jovi concern with a bunch of English chicks in a big muddy field in Belgium?)
