I thought it was pretty good tonight, I felt sorry for Paulie, then I was pissed at him at the end. Nothing like BAW's porkchops and Soprano's before I head out to work.

funniest episode of the season. possibly ever. reminded me more of a vintage early 1990s-era Simpsons episode than anything else.

i think they've also introduced many, many philsophical and religious questions that are going to be incorporated throughout the rest of the season, and i think we're going to see the most "arty" and most grandly philosophical season yet, as i think the series is ultimatley going to stand as a commentary about turn of the 21st century America, the corrupution of wealth, the sense that the best has passed us by, and so many more things to unfold over the next 2 months or so.

i think we're going to see the series swing for the artistic fence, much the way that "six feet under" tried to do, especially in the series closing sequence (won't ruin it for you if you haven't seen it, but go see it).

i do think that the people who are in it for the Goodfellas aspects are going to be a bit disappointed, but i'm excited about it.

I must agree with you, Irvine.

I enjoyed tonight's episode too. What is that Ojibwe saying again??? I intend to copy it down during the west coast viewing.

Fundie: Have you heard the news?

Tony: Jesus Christ!

Fundie: That's right!

I can't remember it exactly, but when the doctors were operating on Tony:

Quote:
First Dr: Hey, look what I found.

Second Dr: What?

First Dr: Jimmy Hoffa.

Yeah, that was great.

Also, the bit with Paulie and his Catholic nun Aunt/Mother was pretty hilarious.

I'm finding this season to be really boring but I guess it must be me.

Why?

Because he decided to keep paying the $4000 a month to keep his mother/aunt in the resthome?

I had to Tivo last Sunday's episode, and try & watch bits & pieces of it during the week so I wouldn't get behind. I watched the last bit yesterday, but the Tivo machine shut off after the 1 hour program schedule, so I missed the previews
