Does anyone out there know when season 7 of The Shield will begin to air??? I just can't seem to find a right answer on this haunting question. I'm addicted to this show and am in withdrawl as we speak. Anyone????

I did a Google search and one blog said it's coming back next April. Wikipedia indicated sometime in 2008, but specific date not known. The FX site doesn't seem to have a date. So we'll see.

Shawn Ryan, who galvanized everyone with his initial letter [to fellow showrunners to go on strike in support of less well-off average writers] is not going to be on the set of the final episode of The Shield. This is clearly agonizing for him. "Well, if they make a deal soon enough I can be," he says. "I think everyone should start a 'Free Shawn Ryan' campaign, to make them make a deal so I can get back in time and be on the set and see the final shot and be able to edit those final couple of episodes. Right now that's something that, in my conscience, I can't do.
