Have you not seen that one suspenseful Bon Jovi video where the guy jumps off a building in front of his girlfriend... but then in the last ten minutes (relative time) he pulls the cord on a parachute! And it says Marry ME!!!!!!!!

But seriously,

Bjork- Human Behaviour
Radiohead- Just (good call Skeek... actually your whole list is money), and any of the KidA promos.
Michael Flatley- Lord of the Dance.

no, I really hate most performance stuff.

like, look at us we're playing on the moon

or a ship

or (an airport)

or a barge

directors are beginnig to run out of ideas of where to put them. Soon they'll be playing in tea shops and sewers and hot air balloons and sex stores and on top of pen points and weather towers.
but, of course, when they wanna throw you for a loop they'll have em playing on a stage in some underground club. like, 'look at us, we're cool'. or maybe they'll just have a fake live concert.

naw, I'd much rather a bjork video with thought into it.
not a coldplay video where all that happens is he runs over to some girls by a window or something

I don't see enough videos to really have an opinion on this

I like most R.E.M. videos though

"Human Behaviour" is a total head trip. But it's definitely a cool video (I like trippy, out there videos ).

Isn't that the one that had that little milk carton walking around town? I haven't seen that video in so long.

Those were definitely interesting videos. I liked the whole black and white Hitchcock meets Twilight Zone meets Edgar Allen Poe kind of feeling that the "Otherside" video had to it (at least, that's the feeling I personally got from it).

Never seen this one, but if we're going to talk about Fatboy Slim videos..."Weapon Of Choice"! Seeing Christopher Walken dancing around never fails to put a smile on my face. Such an amusing video.

I've seen that one. It's even on a tape of ours (my family likes to tape our favorite music videos that we see on TV), 'cause my sister loves Bon Jovi and loves that video.

I 100% agree with you paxetaurora.

Sometimes when I hear a song on the radio, I like to play director and think of a story line.

I think that the best music videos are those that are like "mini movies"

I get annoyed with concert performance videos.

I do not like Britney's music all that much but like the video for "Everytime" 'cause it is like a mini movie.

I should've read your comment before placing my own, I said the same thing about performance based videos.

there were some really good videos in the 90's. Alice in Chains no excuses was a good video.

Rush's nobody's hero is a good video.

I just saw the new Jesse Malin video for "Mona Lisa", and I love it!! You can get it here:

http://www.jessemalin.com/freestuff.html

You should also check out that video the two fans made for "Scars Of Love"...it really is the most literal music video.

Back to the topic of good performance videos, I saw the video for 'The Rat' by The Walkmen on LAUNCH tonight. It's one of the most basic videos I've ever seen, but it works perfectly. Fantastic song too, by the way.

It was followed by a well filmed, and quite humorous performance video by Sahara Hot Nights called 'Hot Night Crash'. I quite enjoyed it also.

By the way, both of these videos were released in 2004

Add to the list of good recent videos (performance videos):

The Walkmen - 'The Rat'
Sahara Hot Nights - 'Hot Night Crash'

How and where have I heard of Sahara Hot Nights? That's gonna puzzle me all day. Will have to check out the video.
